Theology For Strengths

Discovering your strengths can be a lot of fun…but is it biblical?

In his article, A Theology of Strengths, Dr. Daryl Johnson addresses the biblical and theological basis in the letters of Paul, especially the book of Ephesians, for using strengths training in the local church.

The first aspect, he notes, is to consider the called transformed community of God portrayed in the grand theological themes of Ephesians chapters 1-3.

The second foundational point of strengths theology is the description of Christ’s body as a serving community. This description of a serving community validates the discovery and development of strengths in members of the body for service in the local church.
